Vietnam Import Services

Mercator has a partner agent based in Vietnam. Both are members of the freight forwarder network Marco Polo Line (MPL). All members of the network are personally recommended by other agents, are vetted to ensure reliability and are small-medium independent freight forwarders. Our agent in Vietnam can handle any aspect of your shipment whilst it is in Vietnam, including Vietnam customs, delivery to the port, handling in Vietnam and arranging for loading of your shipment onto the vessel. Depending upon which INCOTERM you have agreed with your supplier will dictate what services you will require in Vietnam.

In terms of importing from Vietnam, it might be best to opt for a Free on Board (FOB) buying term. Purchasing FOB will mean that your supplier will take care of all the Vietnam side of the shipment and just deliver the goods to the ship for export. From there, you can appoint a UK based freight forwarder to handle the sea freight, UK customs clearance and delivery.
